METTOP-BRX-Technology
To increase productivity in a copper tankhouse the current efficiency and/or current density needs to be increased. According to physical and chemical laws, the only approach to increase the current density in a manner that ensures the electrodeposition remains pure and the metal sheets are smooth and of a high quality, is to minimize the diffusion boundary layer and/or to influence the electrocrystallization by optimizing the inhibitor distribution. This can be achieved by increasing the flow directly at the cathode, for example by using a manifold inlet to achieve parallel electrolyte flow and introduce fresh electrolyte containing active inhibitors directly at the cathodes. more
Tankhouse Engineering
METTOP can provide the engineering for entire tankhouses. Our speciality is tankhouse design for high current densities: Since the METTOP-BRX-Technology enables the use of higher current densities, corresponding adjustments to the tankhouse design are required to fully realize the production benefits. more

Anode and Cathode Quality Investigations
METTOP provides anode and cathode investigations to determine their chemical and physical quality, and subsequently optimize the anode casting process and tankhouse operations - and if required also the upstream pyrometallurgical processes. more
Plate Measurement
The plate measurement system is applied to inspect the surface of copper and steel plates, namely their overall geometry as well as local surface defects. Based on this inspection the plates are classified and/or rejected. more
