METTOP provides an independent refractory engineering service for all types of furnaces in the primary and secondary copper production.
An overall engineering package can be offered including following information:
• Detailed refractory design drawings
• Complete brick material lists
• Specific heat transfer calculations and resulting expansion allowances for the brickwork
• Brick quality definitions for different brick lining areas
METTOP also focuses on upgrading existing furnace refractory designs to increase refractory lifetime, speed up installation methods and assist in the implementation of modern operational systems (e.g. purging systems, cooling systems or tuyere arrangements).
Focused discussions and on site fact findings will result in new ideas of lining concepts which will be translated into modern 3D designs to offer a clear understanding of the lining situation.
